On Saturday, August 15, Love Impact Coalition is bringing dental, vision, and medical care to North Baton Rouge, at no cost to anyone who shows up. The Baton Rouge Free Clinic runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., or until capacity, at Capitol Senior High School. No appointment is needed. No ID or insurance is required.
Services on site include eye exams and prescription glasses, dental cleanings, extractions, and fillings, plus a full range of medical care: sports physicals, cholesterol screenings, STI/HIV screenings, maternal-health education, prostate exam access, minor urgent care, and an on-site pharmacy (no controlled substances).
This kind of access matters in a community of opportunity and choice. One day, one location, and care that would otherwise cost hundreds of dollars is available to everyone who walks through the door. The clinic is sponsored by ExxonMobil, State Representative Vanessa Caston LaFleur, the State of Louisiana, EBR Schools, and Louisiana Healthcare Connections.
