FAQs

Common questions about our neighborhood transformation initiative.

The initiative brings together community members, public agencies, and partners to make coordinated investments in people, housing, and neighborhood systems that support long-term opportunity and quality of life.

Community members, developers, investors, nonprofit organizations, and public agencies can all engage with the BR Choice team. Collaboration and shared commitment are central to how progress is achieved.

We take a long-term, place-based approach. Rather than isolated projects, we align investments around shared goals and community priorities to ensure lasting impact.

BR Choice is supported by federal Choice Neighborhoods funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, alongside local and institutional partners.

Funds support the advancement of housing stability, economic development, infrastructure improvements, and placemaking efforts. Each investment is evaluated for its ability to deliver long-term community benefit.

Neighborhood transformation takes time. BR Choice works in phases, balancing near-term action with long-term planning to ensure progress is sustainable and community-driven.
